Today, No One Supports the Current Authorities, Says Arthur Vanetsyan
I communicate with thousands of people, and today there isn't a single individual who supports the current authorities; everyone considers them to be traitors, and that is an objective assessment. This was stated by the leader of the 'Homeland' party, Arthur Vanetsyan, during a conversation with citizens ahead of the opposition rally on February 20.
“But people simply don’t go out into the streets. One says it’s cold, another asks what to do if they go outside. But when a soldier stands in the trench, he doesn’t look to see if it's cold or if hail is falling. Let’s understand in this mindset that we must hold this trench. The future of our homeland and our children begins from this trench,” he said.
Vanetsyan also commented on the arrest of Karen Bekaryan, Ara Saghatelyan, and two others who are accused of spreading false information through a 'fake' account, saying, “This is a fabricated case, and I am confident that all of this will be uncovered very swiftly.”
There must definitely be an investigation regarding the statements made by Serzh Sargsyan. “I do not believe there can be an objective investigation under the current authorities, but the facts presented by the third president are very credible to me, and we have not received any credible denial from the authorities so far,” Arthur Vanetsyan stated.
