We Were Defeated Also Because We Lacked Military Organization and Discipline: Hasratyan
The military should be viewed not only as a system equipped with modern precision weaponry and space navigation systems but primarily as a structure that unites like-minded individuals with a strong organization and military-specific discipline, capable of executing any assigned task flawlessly and comprehensively.
This was stated by Senor Hasratyan, the former spokesperson of the Artsakh Defense Army, on his Facebook page. He particularly noted:
“There have been many cases in history where well-armed armies have been defeated on the battlefield by those whose weaponry and technology were inferior. This is considered natural because precision weaponry and space navigation systems, no matter how powerful, are incapable of breaking the will and spirit that real patriotism is forged from. The number one catalyst propelling victors forward is the idea of patriotism, which embodies the protection of the homeland, and the commander who symbolizes it in essence and behavior—from the squad leader to the Supreme Commander… Every soldier fighting on the battlefield is a bearer and executor of the orders of their superior… The higher the rank of the commander, the greater the responsibility… And this is natural, as the final outcome of executing commands depends not only on the flawless actions of the subordinate but even more on the precision of the commands issued by the ‘Supreme’ above.
Note: In the Third Artsakh War, we were defeated also because we lacked the organization and discipline shown by our armed forces in the First and Second Wars and, importantly, the ability of the country's military-political leadership to act with composure and adapt to the situation.”
