Blocked and Impassable Roads in Armenia: Lars Closed

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are blocked and impassable roads throughout the territory of Armenia. The Berd-Chambarak highway, the Vardenyats Pass (closed for trucks only), and the roads from the 'Amberd' high-altitude meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province towards the Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari are closed.

Roads in the Syunik Province are impassable, as well as the intercommunity roads in the Amasia region of Shirak Province. The Dilijan serpentine is closed for trucks with trailers and is difficult to navigate for other vehicles.

On the Vanadzor-Dilijan, Tashir-Privolnoye, Spitak-Gyumri roads, and in the Spitak serpentine, there are patches of black ice in some places. In Shirak Province and in the cities of Goris and Sisian in Syunik Province, as well as in Martuni city of Gegharkunik Province and Aparan city in Aragatsotn Province, snowfall has been recorded.
