Some Railway Infrastructure to be Upgraded for Military Needs

On February 18, Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan met with Alexey Melnikov, the General Director of South Caucasus Railway LLC. During the meeting, Melnikov reported to the Minister about the volume of freight transportation carried out under the framework of military cooperation between Armenia and Russia and the work accomplished. He noted that the South Caucasus Railway is fully complying with its obligations.

Harutyunyan emphasized the strategic importance of railway communication and the significance of the ongoing freight transportation, highlighting the need to ensure the continuity of cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed other cooperation issues, including the upgrade of certain railway infrastructures directly related to meeting the needs of the Armed Forces.
