Representatives of Armenia and Germany's Foreign Ministries Discuss Nagorno-Karabakh Issue

On February 18, political consultations were held remotely between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Federal Republic of Germany. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The consultations on the Armenian side were led by Deputy Foreign Minister Avet Adonts, while on the German side, they were led by Michael Siebert, Director for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia at the German Foreign Office.

During the consultations, the parties discussed a broad range of issues included in the agenda of Armenian-German relations, including the activation of political dialogue, the importance of high-level reciprocal visits, current programs in finance, economic development, and humanitarian sectors, as well as cooperation on international platforms.

The sides also addressed the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and regional security issues, highlighting the importance of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship format in resolving the issue, including final resolution of the status. Special attention was paid to the issue of prisoners of war and humanitarian assistance.
