What Serzh Sargsyan Says Is At Least 90 Percent Accurate, As Far As I Know: Edmon Marukyan
After Serzh Sargsyan's interview, I am once again convinced that we need to establish that parity expert fact-finding group. What Serzh Sargsyan is saying is at least 90 percent accurate, as far as I know, and that’s how it has been. This was stated today by Edmon Marukyan during a conversation with journalists.
“I arrived in Artsakh on October 2, and there I learned that former experienced generals were not allowed to participate in matters related to the war. I was told that they had called and told them to leave the room; I cannot say from which room. Everyone is essentially very disappointed and upset as they stand in the square of Stepanakert. I witnessed it myself; I went there. The authorities must be held accountable for this. The President of Artsakh must answer for rejecting the request of former presidents who tried to help. No one has explained why that rejection was made,” Marukyan noted.
He emphasized that a parity investigative commission should be established. “This information will become outdated, and witnesses may later provide different testimonies. I do not rule out the possibility that documented data may not be available later. Therefore, after the third president's interview, I am again of the opinion that what has happened should be the subject of investigation.”
