There Are Closed Roads in Armenia: Ministry of Emergency Situations

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported that there are closed roads across Armenia. The roads leading from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province to the Amberd Fortress and to the Qari Lake are closed.

The Vardenyats Pass and the Gyumri-Bavra road in Shirak Province are difficult to traverse for trucks with trailers. The winding roads of Dilijan in Tavush Province are closed for trucks with trailers but open for other vehicles.

The Berd-Jambarak road is closed. The Tsoghamarg-Vardaghbyur road in Shirak Province and the Spitak winding roads in Lori Province are difficult to traverse.

Snow is reported in the Vardenyats Pass, on the Saravan-Zanger stretch, in Tavush, Gegharkunik (except for Vardenis), Lori Province, Gyumri in Shirak Province, Jermuk in Vayots Dzor Province, in the Apaharn city of Aragatsotn Province, and in the "Meghry Mountain" area of Syunik Province.

Fog is observed in the winding roads of Spitak City in Lori Province and in Goris City of Syunik Province. There is a snowstorm in the Aragats region of Aragatsotn Province.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is closed for all types of vehicles, with about 530 trucks stranded on the Russian side.
