Snow, Blizzard, Wind Intensification: Weather Forecast for Upcoming Days

On February 17, heavy snowfall is expected in Shirak, Lori, Tavush, the mountainous regions of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, and Gegharkunik, with blizzard conditions in some areas. Winds will intensify in Shirak, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Gegharkunik, and the Ararat Plain, reaching gusts of 25-30 m/s, while in Yerevan, it will be 20-25 m/s.

Across the republic, during the day on February 17, and from the 18th to the 20th, precipitation is expected in significant parts of the regions, and sporadic showers overnight on the 21st. From February 18 to 20, snowfall is anticipated in the mountainous and foothill areas.

During the day on February 21 and on the 22nd, no precipitation is expected. The wind will be southwest at 5-10 m/s, with intensification expected in some places on February 17, reaching 25-30 m/s. The air temperature will gradually decrease by 13-16 degrees from February 18 to 22.

In Yerevan, rain and thunderstorms are expected during the day on February 17, with wet snow anticipated on the 18th, 19th, and overnight on the 21st. On February 21 and 22, dry weather is forecasted.
