Roads in Spitak Region of Lori Province Impassable; Several Roads Closed

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia. The Berd-Jambarak road, Vardenyats Pass (fog), and roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province to the Amberd Fortress and to Kary Lake are closed.

In the Tavush Province, the winding roads of Dilijan and the Gyumri-Bavra road in Shirak Province are closed for trucks with trailers and difficult to navigate for other vehicles. The Bagratashen-Noyemberyan road is closed for trucks. The winding roads in Spitak, Lori Province are impassable.

There is snow at Vardenyats Pass, in the Saravan-Zanger section, and in the regions of Tavush, Lori, and Aragatsotn's Aparan, as well as in Gegharkunik Province's Gavar and Sevan, in Jermuk of Vayots Dzor Province, and in the area called "Meghru Sar" in Syunik Province.

Since the precipitation is heavy in Tavush, Gegharkunik, Aragatsotn, and Shirak Provinces, it is advised to travel only if absolutely necessary. There is fog in the winding roads of Spitak, Lori Province, and in Goris, Syunik Province. There is fog in the Aragats region of Aragatsotn, in Aparan, and in Amasia and Ashotsk regions of Shirak Province.

Regarding the Lars road, according to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for all types of vehicles, with approximately 530 trucks stranded on the Russian side. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
