VIDEO: Citizens Surrender Assault Rifles, Handguns, and Ammunition to Police
The officers of the territorial divisions of the police actively continue their explanatory work aimed at the voluntary surrender of illegally held firearms and ammunition by the population.
Thanks to the explanatory efforts of the police unit in Talin, a man living in Talin voluntarily handed over over 60 bullets for a handgun and assault rifle. As a result of the explanatory work of another division of the Ararat regional police, a 36-year-old man surrendered a "Kalashnikov" assault rifle without a factory serial number, along with ammunition.
As a result of the explanatory efforts of the Hrazdan police, a man residing in Hrazdan surrendered an unregistered "Kalashnikov" assault rifle that he had acquired years ago, along with rifle magazines and various calibers of ammunition.
Thanks to the explanatory work of the Sevan police, two residents of Gegharkunik region handed over rifles, grenades, detonators, and dozens of cartridges of various calibers and firearms. A resident of the village of Dalar in the Ararat region also surrendered a non-registered assault rifle belonging to a deceased relative, an "F-1" type grenade with a detonator, and dozens of cartridges of various calibers to the Artashat police.
A resident of the village of Akhuryan surrendered a non-registered "Makarov" pistol, loaded with 8 rounds of 9mm ammunition, to the Akhuryan police. A resident of the village of Karakert in the Armavir region also handed over a handgun, an "F-1" type grenade with a detonator, and more than 200 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition to the Baghramyan police.
As a result of the explanatory work of the police departments in Nairi and Nor Hachn, two residents of Kotayk region voluntarily surrendered a rifle, a grenade with a detonator, a rifle magazine, and several dozen cartridges of various calibers and firearms.
The explanatory work of the Central Division of the Yerevan City Police’s Marash Division, as well as the Kanaker-Zeytun and Mashdotsi divisions, was also effective. Three individuals from different administrative districts of Yerevan brought "Kalashnikov" assault rifles, dozens of cartridges of various calibers and firearms, as well as other military supplies to these police units.
It is noteworthy that those who voluntarily surrender illegally held firearms and ammunition are exempt from criminal responsibility. In this context, the explanatory work of police officers continues.
