A Series of Events Launched in Artsakh, Marching Event Not Excluded: 'Hraparak'
Despite the brutal 44-day war and the loss of 75% of Artsakh, the political elite has initiated a series of events on February 20, the anniversary of the Artsakh movement's start. February is regarded as a symbol of the Karabakh movement; on February 20, 1988, the Nagorno-Karabakh Regional Council and the Shushi District Council decided to remove the region from Azerbaijan and reunite it with Armenia. This day is officially recognized in Karabakh as the Day of Artsakh's Renaissance.
This year, special preparations are underway in Artsakh to showcase the unity and will of the Artsakh people. A march may also be organized.
