What Are the Fines for Hunting Species Listed in the Red Book?
The Inspection Body for Nature Protection and Subsoil Use is urging to refrain from illegal actions and to preserve the fauna and flora.
In the coming days, the Inspection Body will gradually publish a list of the rates for compensation for damage caused to flora and fauna as a result of environmental violations.
In case of hunting or exterminating species listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Armenia, the fines for each unit (regardless of age) are as follows:
- Bat species:
- Greater mouse-eared bat - 25,000 AMD
- Southern bent-winged bat - 25,000 AMD
- Hypsugo savii - 25,000 AMD
- Night bat - 25,000 AMD
- Asian greater mouse-eared bat - 25,000 AMD
- Common long-eared bat - 25,000 AMD
- Rhinolophus luctus - 25,000 AMD
- Indian feral pig or wild boar - 25,000 AMD
- Caucasian mouse - 25,000 AMD
- Southern sand rat - 25,000 AMD
- Southern Russian hare - 100,000 AMD
- Marmot - 200,000 AMD
- Caucasian chamois - 200,000 AMD
- Caucasian otter - 500,000 AMD
- Transcaucasian brown bear - 1,000,000 AMD
- Central Asian leopard - 3,000,000 AMD
- Bezoar goat - 3,000,000 AMD
- Armenian mouflon - 3,000,000 AMD
