VIDEO: Azerbaijan Fires Near Syunik Villages, Ombudsman Presents Evidence

The Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, has presented evidence showing that Azerbaijani military personnel are firing from both small and large caliber weapons near Syunik villages.

"The shots in this video were fired two days ago, at different times of the day in the central area between the villages of Agarak and Yeghvard in the Kapan community, as recorded by our guard forces. To provide context, the firing location is approximately 1 kilometer from Agarak village," said Tatoyan.

The Human Rights Defender regularly receives reports of anger and concern from residents of Kapan villages about the ongoing gunfire from Azerbaijani military personnel. "This once again confirms that Azerbaijani military forces should not be present near the communities of Syunik, as it seriously endangers the rights of peaceful residents and disrupts their tranquility and peaceful living," the Ombudsman stated.
