US Secretary of State Calls on Turkey to Abandon C-400

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, in a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, urged Ankara not to keep the Russian C-400 missile defense systems. This was stated in a message released by the State Department's press service, as reported by TASS.

“The Secretary of State urged Turkey not to retain the Russian S-400 missile systems. Antony Blinken expressed support for the ongoing negotiations between Turkey and Greece,” the text notes.
