Stepantsminda-Lars Highway Closed for Trucks Due to Heavy Snowfall

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed highways within the Republic of Armenia. In the Aragatsotn province, the roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and to the Kari Lake are closed.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed for trucks due to heavy snowfall, while it remains open for other types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to drive exclusively with winter tires.
