Pregnant Woman Discharged After Earthquake, Two More Seek Hospital Care: Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health of Armenia has released updated information as of 14:00. According to the report, a pregnant woman who was hospitalized for safety reasons in the maternity ward of the Grigor Narekatsi Medical Center was discharged yesterday.

During the night, based on the same considerations, two more pregnant women sought care at the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics, and Gynecology, where they were hospitalized and are currently under medical supervision. Their health is not at risk, and there are no threats of premature birth.

Preliminary data suggests that they will continue inpatient treatment until tomorrow.

It is worth reminding that on February 13, at 15:29 local time (11:29 GMT), the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 at geographical coordinates of 40.11° north latitude and 44.54° east longitude, 8 km southeast of Yerevan, at a depth of 10 km, near the Nubarashen community about 2 km to the north. The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral area reached 6-7 points.
