In the Ruins of Artsakh, the Soil Still Weeps, Artsakh is Left Orphaned: Tevan Poghosyan

Artsakh today is not only shattered and bloodied, but it also resembles a frail child whose parent has succumbed to alcoholism and abandoned their offspring. Artsakh is left orphaned. This was stated by Tevan Poghosyan, the president of the International Center for Human Development, on his Facebook page.

He wrote: “I have the impression that we do not fully understand what happened. People are preoccupied with daily worries and issues, complaining about rising prices, discussing earthquakes, arguing with each other, and resisting everything. Yet here, in the remnants of Artsakh, the soil still weeps. Artsakh today is not only shattered and bloodied, but it also resembles a frail child whose parent has succumbed to alcoholism and abandoned their offspring. Artsakh is left orphaned.

What are we doing? What are we talking about and what are we engaged in? Who will finally stand up and discuss in detail what condition we are in, how we got here, and most importantly, where we should go and how? We have lost this game. Who will talk about changing the game? Who can look at reality from a higher perspective and notice another path that remains unseen and unknown, as the current one is already closed? It is foolish not to take any action or merely deal with the issues presented by the day. That leads nowhere.

Hold on, dear Artsakh. Hold on, dear Armenia. Hold on, dear Homeland.”
