What the My Step MP Said to the Dashnak Girl
My Step MP Hovik Aghazaryan described the incident from the day before as incredibly heavy, when a group of Dashnak youth approached him on the street and called him a "traitor of the CP". "One of the most terrible words in our lexicon, that is, in the Armenian language, is 'traitor', especially in relation to the homeland. It was naturally heavy," Aghazaryan told our reporter yesterday. He also added, "There are people in the Republic of Armenia who emotionally feel entitled to express such statements against me, but most of those who say such things do so for specific selfish purposes. It’s hard to distinguish who is who in these situations."
He recounted that he asked the youth to report to law enforcement if they believed he was a traitor. "One girl said that our application was not being accepted. I gave her my phone number and said, 'Contact me when they refuse to accept it, and I will intervene,'" Aghazaryan stated. This was reported by the Hraparak newspaper.
