Roads Closed in Armenia due to Weather Conditions

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed roads in Armenia.

The roads are closed in the Aragatsotn province from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and towards Lake Kari.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepanstminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles. However, there are about 300 trucks backed up on the Russian side.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
