Former Prime Minister of Armenia and the rector of the Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University, Armen Darbinyan, has published an open letter accusing the authorities of making every effort to remove him from his position as rector. Yes, yes, it is the same Darbinyan who welcomed Nikol Pashinyan's decisions, considering most of his government's members—apart from one or two compromise faces—as educated, ideological, open-minded, fighting citizens who bear their pain. Now he has become a staunch opposition figure.

Moreover, he interprets the intention to dismiss him as a manifestation of the government's interest, but he fails to recall that while being the rector of the most pro-Russian university, he never denied his ties to the 'Sasna Tsrer,' who consider our strategic ally Russia as a direct enemy. Meanwhile, discussions about their political collaboration have circulated in the media for some time.

However, it is noteworthy that according to rumors circulating in political circles, Darbinyan has today found a defender in the government—Tigran Avinyan, a former student of the Armenian-Russian University and the current Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia. He will essentially do anything to ensure that Darbinyan remains in the position of rector, which has caused some tension between him and Pashinyan.
