7-Day-Old Baby Dies in Ararat Province

On February 7, a tragic incident occurred in Ararat Province. Around 06:00, a call was received by the Ararat Police Department from the "Vedi Maternity Hospital" indicating that a baby had suddenly died in one of the houses in the village of Surenavan.

Photographer Gagik Shamshyan reports that the police operational group, along with minors' affairs and investigative department personnel, went to the specified address.

Police have determined that the deceased infant was 7-day-old Silvi V. The 39-year-old mother of the deceased has already informed the police that her child died as a result of a mistake made by the medical staff at the Vedi Maternity Hospital.
