We Gave a Scout to Rescue 30 Children from the Forest, but They Did Not Allow It: Relative of Missing Soldier
If there was one smart scout, he would have entered the forest and brought out those thirty children. This statement was made by Arsen Ghukasian, a relative of missing soldiers, during a conversation with journalists near the government building.
Currently, the relatives are gathered near the government. Ghukasian stated that they themselves provided the scout. When asked why they did not allow this, he speculated that perhaps the authorities did not want to bother with it, and said, "We found a scout who was ready to enter the forest. They did not allow it. We were told, 'Will we be responsible if something happens to him?' How can I be responsible for that? But parents should not have to find a scout; the government should do that. Why haven’t they?"
Ghukasian mentioned that during meetings, all questions have been raised. "Those people only say that they are doing something. You heard the phone call that was recorded on the phone; the child is calling and saying that they are surrounded and also mentioning their location. Why didn’t they go to rescue them? That’s why some were beaten. There were about thirty of them at the time of that call. I indicated the location three minutes later. They could not bring them out; they could have just told me to go and bring them out myself."
