Armenia Airlines to Launch Regular Yerevan-Moscow-Yerevan Flights

Armenia Airlines has received permission to operate regular flights on the Yerevan-Moscow-Yerevan route. The information was announced by the Deputy General Director of Armenia Airlines, Gevorg Khachatryan, on his Facebook page.

“There will be 4 flights per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Regular flights mean that Armenian citizens can only travel to Moscow on the specified days and must have a negative COVID-19 test result,” he wrote.

According to Khachatryan, charter flights will continue to be subject to the existing restrictions after March 1. It is important to note that until March 1, a pilot program will remain in effect, allowing passengers to cross the state border to and from Russia only if they have a negative COVID-19 test result (not older than 72 hours).

The “Travel Without COVID-19” program has been launched, which allows users to have their COVID-19 test results available as a QR code in a mobile application. Citizens need to download the mobile application on iOS or Android, approach a laboratory included in the program with their passport, and take a COVID-19 test. The test results will immediately reflect in the application once the laboratory enters the response into the system. In the case of a positive result, the QR code will be red; for a negative result, it will be green.

In case of a negative test result, travelers must ensure that the information is available in the application and that the time of the flight does not exceed the 72 hours from when the sample was taken. When crossing the border, travelers need to present the mobile application’s QR code.
