Gurgen Nersisyann Elected as Attorney General of Artsakh
On February 11, during a session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, Gurgen Nersisyann was elected as the Attorney General of Artsakh.
In his speech, Gurgen Nersisyann discussed concerns related to the functioning of the prosecutor's office and outlined his plans and directions should he be elected. “I understand that I may assume a position that entails an unprecedented level of responsibility and workload under conditions of immense and boundless strain, and I have made my decision knowing the importance of my involvement and role during this complex period of life in Artsakh,” he stated.
Following this, Gurgen Nersisyann answered questions from the deputies. In a closed vote, 30 deputies expressed their support for Gurgen Nersisyann's candidacy, while 3 voted against.
