Foreign Minister Considered Artsakh Issue a 'Legitimate' Barrier to Closing Borders: 'Hraparak'
Yesterday, an interesting dialogue took place in the National Assembly. In response to Gor Gevorgyan's question regarding the 'continuation logic' of the war and our upcoming actions, Foreign Minister Ara Aivazyan stated that Turkey is sending us different messages. He mentioned, 'There is no longer any reason to impose a blockade on Armenia. As you know, the blockade and the closure of borders were conditioned by the Turkish side on the status quo in Artsakh, which changed through the use of force, and Turkey no longer has any reason to keep the borders closed towards Armenia.'
This indicates that the Foreign Minister considered the Artsakh issue a 'legitimate' barrier to closing the border, and now there is nothing preventing us from engaging in dialogue with the neighboring aggressor. Incidentally, in December, Aivazyan expressed diametrically opposite views in Moscow and faced Prime Minister Pashinyan's anger. Now, as a perceptive pupil, he is essentially correcting his previous mistakes.
