Antiepidemic Restrictions for Schools and Kindergartens Eased

Antiepidemic restrictions for schools and kindergartens have been eased. This was reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.

It has been established that the number of students in classrooms exceeding 20 is only permitted with the written consent of the Ministry of Education, ensuring compliance with antiepidemic sanitary regulations. The social distancing requirement in classrooms has been adjusted from the previously enforced 1.5 meters to a distance of 1 meter.

The operation of school food points will also resume, allowing only the preparation and sale of food on-site while excluding students' access to the food organization area.

The restrictions on admissions in preschool educational institutions have also been relaxed. It has been set that kindergartens refrain from organizing additional admissions, except for registered children for whom home care is practically impossible due to parents or guardians working remotely, those with first or second-degree disabilities, families with three or more children, or the children of military personnel, as well as children who require special educational and developmental conditions.
