The Government is Also Punishing Ararat Mirzoyan, Says Ani Samsonyan
The home of villager Hamboy has become the scene of conflict. This was reported by Ani Samsonyan, a member of the ‘Bright Armenia’ parliamentary faction, on her Facebook page.
She particularly noted, “The government is showing fear regarding the activities of the ad hoc committee investigating the consequences of the coronavirus in the National Assembly. In order to pressure the parliamentary opposition initiating the committee, the government is simultaneously punishing the President of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan.”
The government and the ruling majority probably expected that the speaker would use all possible means, and even impossible ones, to obstruct the committee's work, because doing so through a vote by the majority wouldn’t be elegant. It would lead to the dissolution of the second committee initiated by the opposition and the LHK.
But look how many unfriendly people there are towards the Speaker of the National Assembly within the government. What a shame...
The committee's work has commenced, and a preliminary extensive questionnaire will soon be sent to the relevant authorities.
“Remain calm, ladies and gentlemen. I promise you this will be the most effective and targeted committee of the 7th convocation of the National Assembly,” she concluded.
