Levon Yeranosyan Demands Honor: Why He Was Taken to Shushi Fortress During the War

Former commander of the police internal troops Levon Yeranosyan's defense attorney has filed a complaint with the Prosecutor General's Office regarding his transportation to Shushi Fortress during wartime. The attorney has not received any updates on the case, but our law enforcement sources indicate that it has progressed. The complaint has been redirected to the authorities in Artsakh.

Recall that on October 9, Yeranosyan was detained, and his whereabouts were not known for a month. He later revealed that he had been taken to Shushi Fortress, where he was held with Turkish prisoners. The reason for this remains unclear.

It was reported that there had been an order from Artsakh law enforcement to neutralize Yeranosyan. He was visited at Shushi Fortress by the Prosecutor of Artsakh, the head of the investigative committee, and the President of Artsakh had sent them to meet with him and close the matter. They claimed they had nothing personal against him, respected him, but were carrying out an order.

Yeranosyan responded that the time would come for the guilty parties to bear responsibility. Of the four main actors involved in these events, three have been dismissed: Prosecutor General Mher Aghajanian, Police Chief Ashot Hakobjanian, and National Security Service Head Kamo Aghajanian, while the head of the investigative committee remains in office.

It is unclear how this case will be resolved; in any case, the security officials insist that they did not have time to verify the legality of the order in detail during those days. Yeranosyan is determined to restore his honor and dignity and is ready to fight until the end.
