God Brought Me Home: 23-Year-Old from Gyumri Among Returned Prisoners
Despite the late hour, visitors haven't stopped coming to this family in Gyumri. Relatives and neighbors from near and far rush to share the news: "Your son has come home." This is reported by Sputnik Armenia.
Among the five prisoners of war returned from Azerbaijani captivity is a 23-year-old young man. His mother learned about her son's return just minutes ago, hearing his name called on television while seated in front of the screen.
Clearly hearing her son's name, she couldn’t believe her ears. "Did I hear that right?" she asks her family members and neighbors who rushed to their home after the unexpected news, her heart racing and her lips dry with emotion.
After hearing the news, all the relatives immediately began calling or rushing to embrace a mother overwhelmed with joy. The calls also keep coming in from those whose sons or husbands are still in captivity.
“Stay strong, look, don’t lose hope, my son has come back, yours will too,” Mrs. Marine says in response to the worried families.
Her joy multiplied when she received another phone call from her son. “Mom, I'm fine. Mom, pray, God brought me home,” her son said, requesting that she not set off to Yerevan from Gyumri at such a late hour but to wait until dawn.
