Arman Tatoyan Continues to 'Annoy' the Authorities: 'Past'

It is evident to the naked eye that currently, the most effective constitutional institution in Armenia is the Human Rights Defender's Office. It is no coincidence that as a result, the rating of Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan has reportedly increased significantly.

The painful realities that our population faces, particularly regarding prisoners, missing persons, the delimitation of state borders, and the unclear situation in Syunik, are constantly in the focus of the Defender's attention.

According to newspaper sources, all of this is absolutely displeasing to the current authorities, as Tatoyan also demonstrates political neutrality stemming from his position, meaning in this case, the government does not hold any power over him.

Moreover, Nikol Pashinyan does not tolerate anyone who can be liked and accepted by the public. In this regard, on one hand, Pashinyan considers it unacceptable that this institution is not under his control and is not a subordinate, while on the other hand, he is irritated by the high rating of the Human Rights Defender against the backdrop of the declining rating of the 'velvet democrats.'

We have had the opportunity to address this issue, noting that certain circles close to the government have been consistently targeting Tatoyan and attempting to discredit him.

According to our source, discussions regarding removing Arman Tatoyan from the 'game' have been quite active in government circles these days. We have information that the authorities are trying to get rid of him as quickly as possible through any and all possible legal and illegal methods, so they can finalize their planned actions without much fuss.
