The Red Cross Finds Avenues for Cooperation as Mediator Between Conflict Parties
The Director of the State Emergency Service of the Republic of Artsakh, Colonel Mekhak Arzumanyan, today received representatives of the International Red Cross Mission in Artsakh, Roman Shahramanyan and E. Eidi. E. Eidi first congratulated Mekhak Arzumanyan on his appointment to the responsible position and emphasized the results of the cooperation achieved between the two partner organizations.
The main topic of discussion was the search efforts conducted by the emergency service's rescue teams, which began on November 13, 2020, and continue to this day. The Red Cross is finding avenues for cooperation as a mediating party between the conflicting sides.
In addition to organizing the search efforts, representatives of the Red Cross have also expressed their willingness to hold regular meetings with the parents of deceased or missing servicemen to provide psychological support, as well as negotiating with the Russian military and the Azerbaijani side.
Meetings and discussions are planned with representatives of the organizations involved in search and rescue and other humanitarian efforts. The head of the Emergency Service expressed confidence that cooperation between the two organizations in various fields would ensure positive results.
