Creators of Sputnik V Vaccine Nominated for Nobel Prize

The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, has nominated the creators of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine for the Nobel Prize in Medicine.

"The creation of Sputnik V is a monumental event. I propose to award the creators of the vaccine with a State Prize at the Kremlin on June 12. I also suggest nominating them for the Nobel Prize in Medicine," the politician wrote on his Twitter account.
