70 Accidents Recorded in Yerevan, Causing Traffic Gridlock in the City

Yerevan has experienced significant traffic congestion throughout the day today. Traffic has been paralyzed for several hours. According to Yandex maps, the congestion on the roads is rated at the maximum level of 10 points.

Traffic Police Senior Inspector Major Harutyunyan informed the news outlet that a major accident involving five vehicles occurred on Heratsi Street in Yerevan, and there was also a pedestrian accident on Nalbandyan Street near the "Rossia" cinema.

According to the major, a total of 70 accidents were recorded in Yerevan today, which has led to the city being paralyzed. "We are working within our capacity to resolve the issue, and it seems to be improving now. There is one injury resulting from the accident involving the five vehicles, and that road section has now been reopened," Harutyunyan said.
