Earthquake in Armenia: Felt at 5-6 Magnitude in Gegharkunik, 3-4 in Yerevan

On February 5, at 19:36 local time (15:36 GMT), the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia recorded an earthquake in the vicinity of the village of Shorja, located 5 km northeast from it, at a depth of 10 km and a magnitude of 4.7. The earthquake's epicenter was located at coordinates 40.53° N latitude and 45.32° E longitude.

The intensity of the underground shock in the epicentral area was measured at 6-7 points. The earthquake was felt with a magnitude of 5-6 points in the Gegharkunik region and with a magnitude of 4-6 points in various settlements of Kotayk, Tavush, Lori, and Ararat regions, while in Yerevan it was felt at 3-4 points.
