BMW Crashes into Gas Station in Vardenis, Damaging Wall and Charging Equipment

Today, an accident and subsequent fire occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 6:00 PM, Tigran Ghazaryan, a 37-year-old resident of Garni village in the Kotayk region, lost control of his BMW while driving on Yerevanyan Street in Vardenis. For reasons still unknown, the vehicle veered off the road and struck the charging equipment at a gas station owned by Lyudvig Melikyan, breaking it, Shamshyan.com reports.

As a result of the accident, a fire broke out in the vehicle. Emergency services responded promptly, with the Vardenis fire-rescue squad (number 34 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations) arriving on the scene with one fire engine. The firefighters, along with military police and gas station employees, first prevented the spread of the fire before extinguishing it.

The charging equipment at the gas station was completely burnt, and the gas station itself suffered material damage, as several concrete support columns and some wall sections were also affected.
