Correctional Officers Prevent Drug Transfer Attempt

On February 4, around 22:40, officers of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia's "Kosh" correctional facility noticed suspicious movement near the facility's restricted area and immediately conducted a search of the area. During the search, a thrown package was discovered in the grassy part of the restricted zone, containing substances resembling marijuana and heroin, weighing 2.7 grams and 0.2 grams respectively. Additionally, the package contained 1 subutex pill marked "B 8" and 24 methadone tablets.

Materials are being prepared regarding the incident, and a forensic chemical examination has been commissioned.
