Heated Discussion Expected in Artsakh Parliament

Today, a heated discussion is expected in the Artsakh parliament regarding the draft budget for 2021. According to opposition members of parliament, the document gives no indication that it addresses the post-war financial realities and challenges faced by Artsakh.

"No expenses have been reduced, no savings have been made in any area, even the budget allocated for service vehicles remains the same as last year," our source stated. The budget allocated to the presidency has increased by 200 million drams, reaching approximately 800 million drams. This increase is also attributed to the transfer of the State Accountability Service under the president’s authority from the government. However, there have been no reductions in the number of advisors and assistants in the presidential office. "Life seems to be as it was before the war, as if nothing has happened that should have led to conclusions," our source remarked.
