According to 24News, Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan will be appointed Ambassador of Armenia in the Czech Republic. Sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicate that the process has already begun, and official announcements will be made soon.
Marutyan's appointment is not the only political decision being made. It has already been announced that Prime Minister Pashinyan is appointing Lilit Makunts as Ambassador to the United States, Vladimir Karapetyan as Ambassador to Ukraine, and former Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, according to reports from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is set to be appointed Ambassador to the Russian Federation in the near future.
