Cars Collide at the Intersection of Komitas Avenue and Papazyan Street; Injuries Reported
On February 4, at 07:57, the National Crisis Management Center received a notification about a traffic accident at the intersection of Komitas Avenue and Papazyan Street in Yerevan.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, two firefighting teams from the Yerevan Rescue Department and an operational group from the National Crisis Management Center were dispatched to the scene.
It was discovered that a "VAZ-2109" (driver: M. A., born in 1957) and a "BMW E90" (driver: G. M., born in 1994) had collided, subsequently crashing into an advertising panel. The "VAZ-2109" vehicle was leaking fuel.
Rescuers provided assistance to M. A., who was transported to the "Heratsi" Medical Center, where doctors assessed his condition as satisfactory.
Following this, the rescuers closed the valve on the gas cylinder of the "VAZ-2109" and carried out cleaning operations on the section of the road.
