Bankruptcy Court Judge Gevorg Narinyan Released from Custody

Bankruptcy Court Judge Gevorg Narinyan has been released from custody following a decision by the Court of Appeals at the end of 2020. According to Hetq.am, this information was confirmed by the Court of Appeals.

It is noteworthy that Gevorg Narinyan is accused of assisting in the abuse of official authority, money laundering, illegal enrichment, and presenting false information in declarations or concealing information subject to declaration. Judge Ara Kubanyan is also involved in the same case, facing accusations of abuse of official authority.

Narinyan was detained on July 20, 2020, while the court rejected the motion to detain Ara Kubanyan. Subsequently, Gevorg Narinyan's detention period was extended. Following a review of the appeal against the extension of his detention, the Court of Appeals granted the complaint filed by his defenders and decided to release Narinyan.
