Lena Nazaryan's Husband Had Serious Disagreement with Pashinyan
Details have emerged regarding the dismissal of the former head of the State Property Management Department, Narek Babayan, who is the husband of National Assembly Vice President Lena Nazaryan. According to our information, Narek Babayan had a serious disagreement with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan before his departure.
The issue arose recently during a meeting of the ‘Civil Contract’ party when a proposed amendment was being discussed. Narek Babayan stated that such a change could negatively impact the approval ratings of the authorities.
Following his remark, Nikol Pashinyan responded harshly, saying that Babayan has held the position of head of the State Property Management Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure for two and a half years (appointed on June 11, 2018) without making any positive changes. He even expressed the view that such phenomena negatively affect the government’s ratings.
According to our sources, following this incident, tensions escalated, and there were complaints regarding Narek Babayan, which is why efforts were made to find someone who could replace him. They have now appointed Garik Sargsyan, the former governor of Ararat, who was unemployed. It seems that Narek Babayan is unlikely to remain idle for long.
