Turkish-Made Armored Vehicles Start Exporting to Other Countries
In recent years, several types of armored vehicles designed and serially produced by Turkish companies have begun to attract interest in foreign markets. This is reported by Ermenihaber.am.
The most recent example is the announcement made days ago by the Kenyan Armed Forces, stating that Kenya is preparing to purchase 118 armored vehicles of the 'Hızır' model produced by the Turkish defense industry company 'Katmerciler'. The price of the upcoming deal amounts to approximately 70 million dollars.
The first sale of these armored vehicles outside Turkey occurred last year and amounted to 20.1 million dollars. The name of the purchasing country has not yet been disclosed.
It is reported that a variant of 'Hızır' named 'Ateş', designed for border service and capable of firing at targets, will also soon be integrated into the arms of a 'friendly country'. The same is mentioned regarding the Turkish-made 'Khan' armored vehicle intended for future transport.
