Explosion and Collapse in a Residential Building in Hrazdan
On February 1, an emergency event occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 09:30, the 911 operational management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call reporting an explosion heard from one of the apartments on the first floor of building 205 in the Mikrorayon neighborhood of Hrazdan, according to shamshyan.com.
Emergency responders from the Hrazdan Fire-Rescue Unit of the Kotayk regional rescue service arrived promptly, deploying one firefighting unit. The operational group of the Hrazdan Police Department also arrived on the scene, led by the department head Artak Ghazaryan. Arthur Zurabyan, the head of the Kotayk regional police department, was also present at the scene.
According to preliminary information, the explosion occurred from a gas stove installed in the kitchen, resulting in the collapse of the kitchen's interior walls. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
