Earthquakes Recorded in Turkey Cause Panic
Three earthquakes measuring 4.1, 5.1, and 4.8 in magnitude struck in quick succession in the Karaburun district of İzmir province near the Aegean Sea, reports ermenihaber.am.
The tremors, which were also felt in surrounding areas, caused panic among the population.
According to Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the underground shocks were registered on February 1 at local times of 08:03, 08:46, and 08:47. The epicenters of the earthquakes were located at depths of 24, 20, and 7 kilometers.
