Rescuers Free Approximately 298 Vehicles and 94 Citizens from Snow Blockade

As of January 31, personnel from 33 rescue services are engaged in the operation to free vehicles trapped in the snow.

On January 30, at 12:32 PM, the crisis management center of the Syunik region received a report about vehicles blocked in the snow on the Goris-Sisian highway, urgently requiring the assistance of rescuers.

A team consisting of five units from the regional rescue service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.

The rescuers successfully freed approximately 298 vehicles and provided relevant assistance to 94 citizens.

The operation involved 33 rescue service personnel, three vehicles from the Armed Forces and four traffic police teams.
