State Officials in Artsakh to Serve at the Border for Up to 10 Days a Month
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that the Artsakh Security Council is discussing the inclusion of state officials in border service. Document collection has already begun in state agencies to assess how many officials are fit for service and what regime should be established.
According to the discussions, state officials will be required to serve at the border for one week or ten days each month as part of their job. MP Davit Galstyan confirmed in an interview with our reporter that such discussions are indeed taking place, stating that the issue still needs to be considered by the Security Council: “Employees of the state system should contribute to our security; they should spend a certain duration at the border each month.”
This also indicates that the restrictions related to the service of the Armenian armed forces in Artsakh are serious, and it is possible that Azerbaijan may succeed in this matter in the near future. “Much heavier decisions lie ahead of us,” perhaps implying what the Artsakh president meant as well.
