Soviet People's Artist Vasily Lanovoy Passes Away at 88 Due to Coronavirus
Vasily Lanovoy, the Soviet People's Artist, Lenin Prize laureate, and Hero of Labor of Russia, has passed away at the age of 88, according to Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, as reported by RIA Novosti.
At the beginning of January, Lanovoy and his wife were hospitalized after testing positive for coronavirus. Later, reports emerged about the deterioration of his condition and his transfer to the intensive care unit.
Lanovoy had played over 50 roles and appeared in numerous films.
