It Was Very Important to Understand What Children Under Our Care Dream About

Today, on January 29, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia Mesrop Araqelyan and the Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, and Migration of Artsakh Mane Tandilyan visited the "SOS Children's Villages" Armenian charitable foundation's "Kotayk" branch, where around 60 children from Armenia and Artsakh currently reside.

In order to uncover the wishes and dreams of the young residents of the SOS Children's Villages "Kotayk" branch, the ministers initiated an essay writing assignment on the theme: "I will live in Armenia or Artsakh and will become..."

"For us, as responsible officials in the sector, it was very important to understand what the children living under our care dream about. The goals and dedication that you presented in your essays will make our country stronger and more powerful. We will also do our utmost to realize your dreams, including because of your own strength, as it is impossible to move forward without the power of dreams. The smiles and enthusiasm we see now give us confidence that we are on the right path," said Mesrop Araqelyan during the opening remarks.

According to Mane Tandilyan, this initiative provided an opportunity to get to know the children better and understand what kind of country should be built so that their professional aspirations become a reality in Armenia or Artsakh: "Within the scope of this initiative, we have read wonderful essays and discovered you, your patriotism, and devotion. We have gained insight into what you are thinking, what you are dreaming, and how you plan to serve our united homeland through various professions," emphasized Mane Tandilyan.

The ministers presented books to the children that corresponded to their chosen professions, and prizes were awarded to the authors of the best essays. The continuation of the event will be the initiative "One Day with My Dream," during which the children, according to their professions, will visit their preferred institutions.
