The Russian Defense Ministry reports that the peacekeeping detachment continues to carry out tasks in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. Russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the-clock monitoring at 37 observation posts and are overseeing the maintenance of the ceasefire regime. It is also noted that the ceasefire regime is being upheld along the entire contact line.
Russian peacekeepers are ensuring the safe return of citizens to their permanent residences and are providing humanitarian assistance to the population. “In one day, 129 refugees returned to Nagorno-Karabakh from the territory of Armenia. In total, since November 14, 2020, 51,537 people have returned to their former places of residence in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Engineering and sapper teams from the humanitarian demining center continue to carry out demining work in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. In one day, an area of 36 hectares, 4 km of road, and 13 houses have been cleared, and 19 explosive objects have been discovered and removed. Since November 23, 2020, a total of 783.3 hectares, 237.8 km of road, and 929 buildings, including 27 socially significant facilities, have been cleared of unexploded ordnance, with 23,873 explosive devices identified and neutralized,” the statement said.
