The Struggle is Not Over: Mane Tandilyan
The Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, and Migration of the Republic of Artsakh, Mane Tandilyan, congratulated the Armenian army on the occasion of the holiday.
“Dear compatriots, the war against Artsakh forces us to reconsider Army Day in a unique way. I bow before the memory of our heroes who fell for the defense of the homeland, and I wish the wounded fighters a speedy recovery. The victory in the first Artsakh war took a different course thanks to the formation of one of the most important structures of the newly independent state—its army. We were unable to build a state worthy of our soldier over three decades, leaving him alone on the battlefield with his selflessness and courage. Unfortunately, we did not have the realization that we had won the battle, but not the war. The same is true now; the struggle is not over. Our fight to build a strong, secure, and prosperous Armenia and Artsakh has not ended.
The strengthening of the army must become one of the cornerstones of a powerful state—integral to a strong economy. In this path, our greatest enemy is the loss of time, which, unfortunately, continues even after the historical tragedy. We no longer have time to continue living with endless analyses of the past while choosing between past and present. Our thoughts and actions must be directed towards the future—reinterpreting the mistakes of the past and present to avoid new, more devastating mistakes.
Every day, we are obliged to have a stronger, more prosperous Armenia and Artsakh that will become a homeland filled with confidence for the future. The security of Armenia and Artsakh must now be ensured by other principles of state strengthening, aimed at creating a strong economy based on knowledge, work, and creation. Our heroes were martyred for a living Armenia and Artsakh. Glory to our heroes! Long live the Armenian army!” stated Mane Tandilyan, the Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, and Migration of Artsakh.
